Recently, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam bid farewell to Dr. Kum Dongwha – Former President of Vietnam - Korea Institute of Science and Technology (VKIST) after nearly 5 years of working in Vietnam.

Prof. Phuong Thien Thuong has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of Medicinal herbs, Traditional Vietnamese medicine, Chemistry of natural compounds, Pharmacological effects of traditional medicinal plants, Research and development of health care products (medicine, food, cosmetics) from medicinal herbs.
Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat bit farewell to Dr. Kum Dongwha – the first President of VKIST
On May 12th, 2017, Dr. Kum Dongwha – Former President of KIST was recommended by the Korean Government to become the first President of VKIST shouldering the task of building VKIST benchmarking the KIST model. On December 31st, 2021, Dr. Kum Dongwha will officially end his tenure after nearly 5 years working as the VKIST President.
