Vietnam - Korea Institute of Science and Technology organized recruitment session by selection method for Head of Division positions

To consolidate key leaders at the Division level, the VKIST Recruitment Board held a recruitment session by selection method for 03 Head of Division positions in July 2021.

The recruitment for Head of Division positions is based on VKIST’s semi-annual recruitment plan in 2021 as well as Decision No. 764/QD-BKHCN dated April 5, 2021, of the Minister of Science and Technology allocating VKIST’s number of public employees and contract laborers in 2021.

On July 16, 2021, VKIST Recruitment Board held the interview session (1st batch of 2021) at the headquarters of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Members of the Recruitment Board included Dr. Kum Dongwha, President of VKIST; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phuong Thien Thuong, Head of Biotechnology Division; Dr. Hoang Hien Hau, Head of Administration Division; Mr. Luu Hoang Long, Head of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park Management Board cum member of VKIST’s Council; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Phu Hung, General Director of National Center for Technological Progress (NACENTECH); Ms. Tran Thi Dinh, Vietnam National University of Agriculture; Ms. Nguyen Minh Tan, Director of the Institute of Applied Research and Development of Natural Compounds under Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

This time VKIST recruited 03 leadership positions, namely: Head of Food Technology Division, Head of Water Treatment Division, and Head of Tech-based Business Development Division.

At the interview, the candidates presented about their achievements during the process of working, doing scientific researches, and providing analysis of personal prospects with VKIST, analyzing their ability to build, organize the activities of the assigned Division.

After the candidate's presentations, the Recruitment Board spent a lot of time exchanging, raising questions to better understand the future development direction and desire of the candidates towards VKIST. Based on the interview, the Board scored the candidates according to the evaluation criteria with a maximum score of 100 points.

“The process of preparation, evaluation of application dossiers and selection was carefully implemented by VKIST's Recruitment Board, considering many aspects, ensuring fairness, objectivity and compliance with current regulations. I hope that, through this selection, VKIST will select individuals who are really qualified to manage, fully understand the professional fields, have enthusiasm, and meet the practical requirements to advise VKIST leaders, contributing positively to the development of VKIST in the future", Dr. Kum Dongwha said.
