The Global Forum of Young Vietnamese Intellectuals is an annual event, which is held with the desire for young intellectuals who are studying, living and working in Vietnam and abroad to discuss their vision, mission, roles as well as their contribution to developing our nation and promoting the economic integration with the region and the world.

At the Forum, participants focused in discussing and proposing the solutions to 4 main issues, including: Innovation; Technology application and transfer; Connecting young intellectuals to develop the digital economy; National digital human resources; Developing and commercializing the digital transformation solutions.

A VKIST scientist, Dr. Nguyen The Hoang Anh, attended the Forum and showcased his technology on face recognition and 3D face modelling from the ordinary face images. This technology was developed based on the database obtained from the multi-angle synchronous imaging technology transferred directly to VKIST by the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST). In Korea, a research team at KIST has succeeded in developing the technology to determine the blood relationships, envision the aging process and render a person with different facial expressions.
