With the spirit of "Every drop of blood given, a life stays", VKIST employees enthusiastically participated in the Blood Donation Day to the patients in need and contribute to the effort of the whole country during the national campaign against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Recently, the Covid-19 pandemic has aggravated the shortage of blood for treatment. Many provinces and cities in the country implemented social distancing. Hence, the work of mobilizing and receiving blood for emergency and treatment of patients encounters many difficulties, leading to a shortage of blood reserve. Many hospitals and medical facilities are in need of blood for their patients.

With the consent of MOST Leaders, the Communist Party Committee and Labor Union together with Youth Union of MOST collaborate with National Agency for Science and Technology Information, HHTP Management Board and National Institute of Hematology & Blood Transfusion to organize Blood Donation program at HHTP Headquarters with the spirit of supporting the depleted blood bank and joining hands with the whole country to fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic.

After a period of launching and mobilizing all employees of agencies, units and enterprises operating in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, there were 17 agencies and enterprises have registered for blood donation with the number of nearly 400 people. At the end, there were 141 blood units that were collected.

Through the blood donation program, VKIST wished to propagate and disseminate the meaning of voluntary blood donation activities, a meaningful tradition of Vietnam, among all members so that everyone would be willing to participate in the blood donation movement to help the people in need in the future.
