At KIST Headquarters, there were Dr. Kum Dongwha – Former President of VKIST accompanied by KIST experts and several Vietnamese students in Korea. At VKIST Headquarters, there were Dr. Hoang Hien Hau – Head of Administration Division and HR Team of VKIST. Main agenda of the program included: (1) Overview of VKIST, (2) Rationale behind the establishment of VKIST and ‘Reverse brain-drain’ issue, (3) Sharing of a former corporate employee about her job-changing into a public employee and her opinion on ‘patriotism’.

Within the first six months of 2022, VKIST has carried out 2 recruitment campaigns of researchers and administrative staff. This program was expected to resolve the questions of those interested about job opportunities as well as career path and benefits that VKIST could offer.

Dr. Hoang Hien Hau shared an overview about VKIST and its development direction
The program received great interest and positive feedbacks from Vietnamese students in Korea as well as online participants. During the Q&A session, VKIST received lots of interesting questions from participants both offline and online. Whereby, participants can visualize a big picture about VKIST and have a deeper understanding of job opportunities at VKIST. The discussion was mostly about the research directions and environment, compensation and benefits, career path, how oversea applicants can be facilitated during the application and contract signing process, etc.
