On 4th December, The largest event for the startup community of the year - Techfest 2019 - has officially opened in Palace of Planning, Fairs and Exhibitions, Quang Ninh Province. About 6,000 people attended the event, bringing together more than 250 startups, with 200 domestic and international investors and speakers. The theme of Techfest 2019 is "Resources convergence": Financial resources, technology resources, key policy innovations and recommendations. The event is expected to be a platform to connect and spread these resources through a variety of activities such as: Workshop, Seminar, Forum, Final of the National Creative Start-up Contest, Exhibition with 300 booths in various fields: Edutech, Agritech, Medtech, Platform, Smart city, Fintech, Industry 4.0, International investment....
In 2019, Techfest 2019 has a larger scale with many differences compared than Techfest 2018. The organizational space is divided into 9 main themes for Startup Villages:

- AgriTech village;
- EdTech village;
- MedTech village;
- Tourism and Food & Beverage village;
- Fintech village;
- SmartCity 4.0 village;
- Platform village;
- Social impact village;
- International Investment village;
- Technology 4.0 village);
- Startup Support Services village;
- The organizing committee of the " National Creative Startup Contest”
Techfest Vietnam is considered the biggest creative start-up festival in Vietnam, hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology under the framework of the project "Supporting the national innovation and innovation start-up ecosystem until 2025” (Project 844). This is a national event of international scale, a gathering place for start-up community, support and investment for domestic and foreign startups, thereby promoting the image of Vietnam's innovative start-up.
Attended the event, at the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam expressed his special attention of The Communist Party and The State to the ecosystem of innovation start-up in our country in the context of the strong development of “Industrial revolution 4.0” in the world and in Vietnam. From here, set out requirements in the management and support the objects of the startup ecosystem in Vietnam for the Ministry of Science and Technology.
With the topic "Resources converge", representatives of business, investors, venture capital funds at home and abroad; intermediaries of the technology market; representatives of institutes and universities attended Techfest 2019.
Vietnam - Korea Institute of Science and Technology (VKIST) attended Techfest 2019 as a organization under the Ministry of Science and Technology, with the misions: Solution Provider to Industry Market; Research and upgrade technologies for strategic industries; Developing national products and key products; Development of integrated technologies to replace imported technologies.
