Signing ceremony of cooperation contract to promote research and development activities between VKIST and Hyundai Aluminum

On September 12, 2022, at VKIST headquarters, a cooperation contract was signed to promote research and development activities between VKIST and Hyundai Aluminum VINA Joint Stock Company (Hyundai Aluminum) of ALUKO Group.

Attending the Signing Ceremony, on VKIST side, there were Mr. Vu Duc Loi – VKIST Vice President, Mr. Phuong Thien Thuong - VKIST Vice President, along with the Division Heads and researchers of VKIST. On the side of Hyundai Aluminum, there was the attendance of Mr. Park Do Bong - Chairman of ALUKO Group; Mr. Jeong Ji Beom - Deputy General Director of Hyundai Aluminum; and Mr. Han Hee Young - Deputy General Director of Hyundai Aluminum.

Overview of the Signing Ceremony

At the ceremony, Mr. Vu Duc Loi - Vice President of VKIST sent greetings and thanks to ALUKO Group as well as Hyundai Aluminum for choosing VKIST as a strategic partner and accompanying VKIST during the past period. Since officially put into operation, VKIST has always focused on strengthening research cooperation with institutes, universities and enterprises in a number of key research fields, in line with the development orientations of both sides.

On May 20, 2022, along with the milestone marking the 5-year journey of VKIST’s development, VKIST and Hyundai Aluminum signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on strategic cooperation in promoting scientific research activities. Both sides have agreed to promote cooperation in research, development and commercialization of natural products, especially in implementing joint research related to developing products from natural herbs of Vietnam and Korea for life-care and healthcare. This is a remarkable milestone laying a solid foundation for further strategic cooperation between VKIST and Hyundai Aluminum in the future.

Following the signed MoU, both sides have agreed to take a further step by signing a contract promoting the cooperation on research and development activities. On that basis, VKIST and Hyundai Aluminum will jointly implement research on healthcare products containing ginseng and other medicinal ingredients.

The signing ceremony ended successfully. The contract signing event has greatly contributed to leverage the strategic cooperation relationship between VKIST and Hyundai Aluminum as well as open more opportunities for further cooperation and mutual development of both sides in the future.
