VKIST aims to build an applied research institute with the mission of developing multi-disciplinary technology satisfying the needs of the industry as well as providing technical solutions and high-quality human resources for enterprises and economic-technical branches. On this journey, VKIST focuses on promoting innovation in research and being a pioneer in research innovation in Vietnam. Research and development together with innovation play an indispensable role in key tasks of VKIST.
Overview of the seminar
At the seminar, VKIST members had chance to learn and discuss several topics related to innovation ranging from definition, characteristics, impact on research and development, driving forces of innovation to the role of Ministry of Science and Technology in state management of innovation.
Within his presentation at the seminar, VKIST President – Mr Bui The Duy emphasized the important role of innovation in realizing sustainable development goals and providing solutions to socio-economic problems as well as supporting the implementation process of national work plan. The successful models of research organizations and enterprises prove that one can achieve success if being adaptable and responsive to new market trends and promptly coming up with those products and services meeting the demand.
The seminar was held successfully with lots of discussion and informative knowledge exchanging, which helps develop expertise and ability of VKIST members in innovation management, technology transfer and commercialization.
