According to President Kum Dongwha, this newly built, spacious, and modern Center would supply electricity, water, compressed air, and a CCTV system for the entire working area. In an attempt to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the system, VKIST staff need to practice and enrich the professional expertise as well as regularly carry out the system maintenance.
President of VKIST, Dr. Kum Dongwha, spoke at the ceremony
On behalf of the VKIST Secretariat, Mr. Won Kilyeon expressed his sincere thanks to all VKIST staff and IAN Systems, Ltd. for their great effort during the past period to jointly complete the project on establishing the MIS and its Control Center on time and officially put it into operation. This would greatly contribute to the efficient operation of VKIST.
The Phase 2 of the project on establishing the MIS was launched in April, 2021. Based on the actual needs for simplifying work, improving productivity and management efficiency, the project was designed to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of R&D activities, administration and R&D support. The project is meant to be user-oriented and supportive to the information exchange as well as the documentation circulation following the current laws. Despite the unexpected difficulties during the implementation process due to the Covid-19 pandemic, IAN Systems, Ltd. and VKIST have endeavored to complete and hand over the system on schedule. Ms. Le Phuong Thao said that IAN Systems, Ltd. would assign technical staff to support 24/7 from now until the end of 2021 to support the system operation and timely troubleshoot any emerging issues following the requirements of VKIST. On that basis, the MIS would become an assisting tool to the administration and operation of VKIST in the near future.
After visiting the Control Center, President Kum Dongwha, distinguished guests and VKIST staff together have jointly raised a toast in the celebration of the opening ceremony for the MIS and its Control Center.
