With the invitation to participate in the Conference and introduction of technology/equipment/product at the Demonstration Area organized within the Demonstration events chain, connecting international needs and demand of technology was organized in Can Tho City from 03-05/10/2018.
Vietnam–Korea Institute of Science and Technology (VKIST) coordinated with experts from Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) establish the taskforce of 04 members including: Dr Kum Dongwha – President of VKIST; 01 expert from KIST; 01 President Secretary and 01 Administrative staff to attend the event mentioned above.
Opening Ceremony of the Event
The above event is organized with the coordination of State Agency for Technology Innovation (Ministry of Science and Technology) and Can Tho Department of Science & Technology (Can Tho City People’s Committee). Enunciated at the Opening Ceremony, Vice Minister Tran Van Tung informed that Can Tho technology supply and demand connecting Point is the first point in the Mekong Delta area and is the 7th technology supply and demand connecting Point in the country. The connecting point when in operation will spread and connect the infrastructure serving for technology application, transfer and innovation, rapidly apply Science and Technology advancement (S&T) in reality of life, contributing in enhancing the competitive capability of enterprises, life of the people, especially preventing, cope with and overcome the consequences caused by climate change and natural disasters.
In the Opening Ceremony there are: Can Tho’s People Committee Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Dung, Chairman of Vietnam Cooperative Alliance Nguyen Ngoc Bao, Director General of State Agency for Technology Innovation Ta Viet Dung, Deputy Director in charge of Can Tho Department of Science and Technology Tran Hoai Phuong. Together with leaders and officials of Center for Science & Technology Applications of 63 provinces over the country and officials from University, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, management units from other Ministries and Departments.
This is an annual event of State Agency for Technology Innovation in order to investigate, survey, collect, summarize, analyzing the demand and technology supply, technology Consultation, connecting financial investment, technical innovation consulting with the participation of online consultants; organize training courses about transferring negotiation skill, purchasing of technology; technology management skills in enterprises; forming network of coordinators in technology transfer; Construct technology data, technology expert; Organising introductory sessions, technology showcase/seminar by themes and demands of enterprises
The New Technology Application, Transferring in Agriculture Forum
In this Event, VKIST was invited to present the memoir at the Application Forum, New technology transfer in agriculture. This is one of the discussion sessions along with other topics in the event. VKIST participated and present the memoir “IT solutions in agriculture and post-harvest processing” before delegates from Ministry of Science & Technology; Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development; representatives from Universities, Research institutes, enterprises,… The memoir clearly indicates the difficulties that Vietnam’s Agriculture is now facing specifically being rice and coffee filiations. Beside, with realistic experience from Korea, VKIST leader also share and give out application recommendation with the current situation of Viet Nam. With results collected from survey trips being conducted all over the country with the contribution of experts from two countries Vietnam – Korea being presented clearly, attention, interest has been raised from the Conference.
Together with the activity at the Forum, VKIST also participated in the event Introducing technology/equipment/product at Demonstration area.
