1. Announcement of the 5-year Anniversary of VKIST
Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18) is one of the biggest and most important events for the science and technology industry in general and for the Ministry of Science and Technology in particular. For VKIST, Vietnam Science and Technology Day has special significance not only because VKIST is a science and technology organization but also May 18 is the founding date of the Institute. Especially, May 18, 2022 is a milestone marking the 5-year establishment of VKIST.
Vietnam - Korea Institute of Science and Technology (VKIST) is a public agency under the Ministry of Science and Technology, which was established under Decree No. 50/2015/ND-CP dated May 18, 2015 of the Prime Minister on the basis of Agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea and the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam signed on September 9, 2013. VKIST Project is Korea's largest grant project for Vietnam to promote the relationship of science and technology cooperation between two countries.
As the first applied research institute in Vietnam benchmarking the model of Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), VKIST is focusing its research capacity on such fields as information technology, biotechnology, electronics, food technology, environment technology, etc. VKIST's research activities will bridge the gap between academic research and the market demand.
After 5 years of building a new model of applied research institute, VKIST is now focusing on consolidating its organizational structure, recruiting high-quality human resources, building the competitive system of compensation and benefits, capacity building, improving the modern infrastructure and facilities, etc.
Hopefully, in the development journey of Vietnam with the driving force for sustainable economic development as science and technology, VKIST can contribute to that great goal of the nation.
2.Purposes
- Giới thiệu các thành tựu đạt được của VKIST sau chặng đường 5 năm hình thành và phát triển;
- Report the outstanding achievements of VKIST during the 5-year period of development;
- Giới thiệu các kết quả nghiên cứu mà VKIST đã triển khai, đặc biệt là các kết quả nghiên cứu phối hợp với phía Hàn Quốc;
- Showcase key research achievements of VKIST, especially those results collaborated with the Korean side in the framework of joint research projects;
- Xây dựng mối quan hệ hợp tác với danh nghiệp hướng tới cung cấp các giải pháp công nghệ, đóng góp vào thành công của Doanh nghiệp.
- Form the cooperative relationship with enterprises aligning with the goal of providing technological solutions contributing to the success of the industry.
